Trails and Tails Dog Adventures has been serving the Colorado Springs area since our founding in 2022. Since then we have gained a loyal following of pet owners and have become known not only for our expertise in dog care but also for our fun atmosphere! We are committed to enhancing the lives of dogs and strengthening the bond between pets and their owners.
Trainer & Pack Leader
I've had a passion for dogs ever since I was a kid, when I adopted my first and realized how special the bond with a dog can be. Growing up, I was always the one to take care of family pets, and my first childhood job was as a pet sitter. For the past 20 years I have worked part time as a pet/ house sitter. I graduated from Hobart College with a BA in History in 2015. I moved to Colorado in 2017 from my hometown of Chicago, IL.
I’ve spent years learning about dog behavior, honing dog training techniques, and how to make sure every dog feels happy, comfortable, and safe. I am a CATCH certified Professional Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist; and am working towards my CPDT-KA.
I love that I am able to share that passion for dogs with others through my business. It's a dream come true to help pups grow into the best versions of themselves and to provide a fun, safe and caring place for them to stay when their away from home.
Pack Leader
Growing up in the suburbs of Boston, my first dog, Almond Joy, was always by my side, and that bond sparked my lifelong love for animals. While attending Hobart College, I met my good friend Sam. For the past few years, I working at the Friendship Home in Norwell, MA. There I pursued my interest in helping individuals with disabilities. It was an incredibly fulfilling experience that allowed me to pursue my passion for helping others.
For the past year, I’ve been living with Sam and working with him. This time has allowed me to further explore my love for animals, and I’ve been enjoying every moment of it. Working with dogs has brought me so much joy, and I’m excited to continue on this path, combining my passions for helping others and working with animals.
Pack Leader
I will always remember my joy and surprise of getting my fist dog, Rudy. I learned about loving and caring for animals from him. I helped my mom administer medications and ensure his comfort into his senior years. Rudy lived a remarkable 19 years! I gained more experience taking care of dogs through fostering experiences while in college and into our lives in Colorado. This led us to adopting Berry and Junior, and they bring just happiness everyday!
While Sam runs the day-to-day operations of Trails & Tails, I help, too – mostly through affection and loving the dogs. I'm a therapist currently providing telehealth services. This allows me to work remotely, and I bring the same passion for well-being to our dog daycare. Just as I strive to improve mental health and wellness for people, I believe in creating a happy and enriching environment for dogs. I can't wait to welcome your pups and treat them like family.
Head of Security
Berry is our loyal security and safety officer. This brave Retriever/ Shepherd mix is always on alert, ensuring that the daycare is a secure and safe environment for all the dogs. With his keen senses and protective instincts, Berry keeps a watchful eye on everything, making sure that every pup is safe, sound, and enjoying their day. His calm presence brings peace of mind to both the regular pack members and new campers.
Head of Customer Service
Meet Junior! He is a friendly and outgoing Golden Retriever who loves greeting each pup that walks through the door with a wagging tail and a big smile. Junior is an expert at making dogs feel right at home, offering comforting sniffs, tail wags and is always up for a play session. His top-notch customer service skills ensure that every dog’s stay is stress-free and fun, making him an essential part of the team!
